Ruckus outside TCS after 20,000 employees were laid off; KITU demands strict action
A major uproar erupted outside Tata Consultancy Services
(TCS) offices after reports surfaced that nearly 20,000
employees were laid off. Disgruntled workers gathered in protest, raising
concerns over the sudden job cuts and lack of proper notice. The Karnataka
State IT/ITeS Employees Union (KITU) has stepped in, demanding strict
government intervention and immediate reinstatement of affected employees.
Union leaders have accused TCS of unfair labor practices and urged authorities
to investigate the layoffs thoroughly. Meanwhile, TCS has not issued an
official statement addressing the allegations. The situation continues to draw
public and media attention as discussions about job security in India’s IT
sector intensify.
