JDU Releases List of 57 Candidates – See Who Has Been Fielded From Where

The Janata Dal (United) has officially released its list of 57 candidates for the upcoming assembly elections, marking the beginning of an intense political battle in Bihar. The announcement comes after several rounds of discussions within the party’s core committee, as JDU aims to strike the perfect balance between experience and new faces to strengthen its voter base.

According to the official list, several sitting MLAs have been given a chance to retain their constituencies, while some fresh faces have been introduced in key regions to bring renewed energy to the campaign. Sources within the JDU revealed that the party leadership focused on maintaining regional representation, caste balance, and performance-based selection while finalizing the names.

Notably, prominent leaders such as Sanjay Jha, Lalan Singh, and Ashok Choudhary have been fielded from their traditional strongholds, reflecting the party’s confidence in their local influence. At the same time, several youth leaders have made their debut on the list, indicating JDU’s intent to connect with younger voters.

The JDU leadership, led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, emphasized unity and development as the core themes of the upcoming election. Party spokespersons stated that each candidate has been chosen carefully to represent JDU’s vision of “Nyay ke saath vikas” (development with justice).

With this announcement, political dynamics in Bihar are expected to heat up, as rival parties prepare their counter-strategies. The release of the list has already triggered discussions among political analysts and voters alike, as the JDU sets the tone for one of the most crucial electoral contests in recent years.
