BPSC TRE 4 candidates protest in Patna | Demand to fill 1.2 lakh vacant posts
Patna witnessed a major protest on Friday as hundreds of
candidates of the Bihar Public Service Commission’s Teacher Recruitment
Examination (BPSC TRE 4) gathered to voice their demands. The aspirants, who
have been waiting for appointments, raised concerns over the delay in filling
nearly 1.2
lakh vacant teaching posts across the state.
The protestors marched with banners and shouted slogans
outside the BPSC office and other government premises, demanding immediate
action from the authorities. Many candidates expressed frustration, stating
that despite clearing the exam, their future remains uncertain due to the lack
of timely recruitment.
The agitation highlighted issues such as the state’s growing
unemployment rate, lack of transparency in the recruitment process, and the
urgent need to strengthen the education system by filling vacant teacher posts.
Candidates argued that unfilled vacancies not only harm their careers but also
negatively impact thousands of students in government schools who face a
shortage of teachers.
Some protestors also urged the Bihar government to release a
clear timeline for the appointment process and called for the next phases of
recruitment to be conducted without further delays. The demand for
accountability and fair opportunities has gained momentum, with support pouring
in from various student and youth organizations.
Authorities have acknowledged the situation but have yet to
provide a concrete resolution. Meanwhile, candidates have warned of
intensifying their movement if the government fails to address their concerns
promptly.
RD News Network will continue to monitor the situation
closely and provide updates on further developments regarding the BPSC TRE 4
recruitment and the ongoing protests in Patna.
